Spring has Sprung!

Spring has Sprung!

I’ve been here several times for dinner,
but the lighting was never good enough for photos
so today I decided to have a lunch date with a friend there!

Spring very much reminds me of Fratelli Fresh in Sydney,
a deli x cafe x bistro x cooking school!
that’s some serious dedication to generating good (food) vibrations around town!

French provincial design with a fresh colour palette,
- very chic & modern
long market tables filled with curious objects, artfully merchandised of course!
the overall design evokes the fragrance of rustic baguettes and ratatouille
found in a french country kitchen!

pastel coloured furniture, oh la la !
by the way, the 175 new colours at Pantone,
can we have too much of a good thing? : D

What I love about the restaurant is their creative use of space
the flexible composition allows the restaurant to constantly revive and reinvent itself
for example the first time I visited they had tall cabinets full of gourmet pastas and sauces, which disappeared to make way for additional dining tables

they also stock Mud !

cooking school area!

exterior kiosk takeaway area

perched on a quiet corner of Felix and Mary,
the outdoor seating area is tres relaxing,
especially on a sunny afternoon!

it also allows sufficient sunlight to flow into the restaurant
(I hear a big YES for foodies and bloggers all around!)

mini creuset as sugar bowl – TOO CUTE!

A seasonal menu with inspiring new dishes

particularly the octopus terrine, which tasted as eyemazing as it looks!

pork ragu pappardelle

crab angel hair

crispy duck

the bill comes with a fishy. made us laugh, haha
